Degree DatabaseA wide range of colleges and universities serve Greater Fort Lauderdale/Broward County, with 43 institutions being located within a 30 mile radius of Fort Lauderdale. These include both state and private-sector institutions offering associate's, bachelor's, master's and doctoral degree programs. Companies from the industries identified by the Greater Fort Lauderdale Alliance as the focus for growth in the County, together with a broad spectrum of education leaders and others, develop education initiatives aimed squarely at those industries. Such collaborative ventures include pre-kindergarten through 20th grade and post-secondary initiatives: industry-specific technical school training for adults and high school populations; community college and other 2-year college programs (degreed and non-degreed); four-year university programs; post-graduate programs; continuing education and professional development programs; literacy and entry-level training; and community adult ed programs.
