Florida is the 15th largest manufacturing state in the nation, with an output roughly equivalent to Norway and Singapore, according to the Manufacturers Association of Florida.  Manufacturing companies in Greater Fort Lauderdale produce mobile phones, aircraft parts, medical instruments, pharmaceuticals, jewelry, yachts, newspapers, concrete, computers, software and many other products.
