Lauderhill is centrally located in Broward County. We are close to the Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport, as well as Port Everglades.  The Florida Turnpike, I-75, I-95 and I-595 and the Sawgrass Expressway all are within close proximity to our City.

Lauderhill is a thriving city of nearly 74,000 residents in approximately 9 square miles.  The median age is 37 and 57 percent of the population is between the ages of 20 and 64. Our business and residential communities enjoy one of the lowest millage rates in the County.  In addition, we provide a full range of services, either directly or through franchise agreements, such as water and sewer, police, fire/emergency medical services, garbage collection, cable TV, and propane gas.

 

Lauderhill provides an abundance of social, recreational and educational activities.  The City has several public and private schools, many houses of worship, two libraries, and is known for hosting many sporting and cultural events. The City of Lauderhill, now in its fourth decade of progress, is meeting the challenges of the future, by developing a new perspective on growth management and economic, residential, and commercial development in our built out community.  Lauderhill contains an abundance of single and multi-family residences.  Our business community is diverse, ranging from service organizations to light industry.
