Permit Submittal Requirements for the City of Parkland:

(Please note: Information provided below is subject to change, please check city building/permitting department for current requirements.)

BROWARD COUNTY ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION DIVISION
EPD submittal / Approval required prior to Bldg Dept submittal. Apply 'on-line' for Security Code & Application Number. Walk-thru review. Impact Fees will be determined, if any. Submit Asbestos form if Interior only or if renovation / addition.

ELEVATOR

Broward County Elevator Approval required prior to Bldg Dept submittal. 

NOTICE OF COMMENCEMENT

Recorded NOC required prior to Bldg Dept submittal. Record NOC at County Recording office. Secure 2 Certified copies.  If value of Work is under $2,500, NOC Not required.

PERMIT APPLICATION

Must be in Black ink. Must be signed and notarized by the Qualifier and the Owner.  All Contractor's must be registered with the City and provide current Lic & Insur.  Also application needs to include all sub-contractors to be used on the project. 

SURVEYS
Current s.s copies required. None required if interiors only.

ENERGY CALCULATIONS
Residential signed by owner/agent and by individual that prepared them.  Commercial must s/s by engineer for struc, mech, plub & Elec. May be required for interiors also depending upon type and extent of work.

SPECIAL INSPECTION FORMS
Must be s/s by engineer and must be signed by Owner. May be required for interiors also depending upon type and extent of work.

STRUCTURAL CALCULATIONS

Must be s/s by engineer. May be required for interiors also depending upon type and extent of work.

ORIGINAL DEVELOPMENT REVIEW COMMITTEE PLANS

DRC not required for submittal.

OWNER/AGENT LETTER
Letter must have Owner and Agent notarized signatures.

NUMBER OF SETS
Two sets.

TRADE APPLICATIONS
Must be completely filled out, Values, SF & Quantities required.  must be signed by owner and trade contractor. Copy of Lic & Insur required.

NOTICE OF ACCEPTANCE
Must prepare Schedule/Comparison Chart for windows, doors, louvers, shutters, etc.  Must be reviewed and approved by architect for new construction.

ROOF CALCULATIONS (HVC)
Must be complete package with roof NOA's and roof plan. None required if Interiors only.

ROOF TRUSS SHOP DRAWINGS
Both the single engineering sheets or summary chart and map/layout must be s/s by truss engineer and include all calcs. 

FIRE SPRINKLER ALARM DRAWINGS
Plans must be s/s by engineer.  Must have hydraulic calcs and cut sheets of all devices and panels.

COMMENTS

REVISIONS: Need Change-of-Plan Cover sheet form. Need Permit Application signed each trade. Need Architect's/Engineer's sheets s/s with clouds and deltas.
