Tamarac
 |
The City of Tamarac is centrally located in Broward County with easy access to major highways as well as premiere entertainment and shopping centers.
Originally envisioned as an active retirement community, Tamarac has experienced tremendous growth since its incorporation in July 1963. Our community is more diverse than ever with citizens from all walks of life enjoying the benefits of living in our City. Some of those benefits include: one of the most active community centers in the County that offers activities and programs for every age group; an aquatic and fitness center; multiple parks including a new dog park; and popular annual events such as the City's July 4th All American Celebration and the Thanksgiving Day Turkey Trot.
The new tagline for the City, "The City for Your Life," is important because it embodies the commitment that Tamarac is not just your city from the time you are born, but it is also a full-service city that provides the quality and type of life people deserve.
Tamarac is dedicated to providing its citizens and business community, customer service second to none, and has undertaken a High Performance Organization (HPO) approach by utilizing the Florida Sterling framework. Organizational fine-tuning and development, historically relegated to the private sector, is further enhancing the quality of service offered by Tamarac and enjoyed by the community.
