Broward Reads: The Campaign for Grade-Level Reading

Broward Reads: The Campaign for Grade Level Reading Coalition focuses on helping communities and policymakers promote school readiness and quality teaching, tackle chronic absence, and improve summer learning, as well as engage parents as their children’s first teachers. The coalition seeks to Unify Stakeholders, Align Initiatives, and Identify Gaps.

BROWARD READS FEATURED EVENT -  Summer BreakSpot Literacy Ambassador Day - Monday June 18, was the first day of Summer 2018 Broward "Rock & Reading" Literacy Ambassadors, volunteer readers participated at ten Super Summer BreakSpot sites. The Art House in Fort Lauderdale has been "adopted" by the Children's Services Council of Broward County. The Ambassadors will read a book, promote the community library and literacy resources already at the site and encourage children to participate in the Broward Libraries: Build a Better World" Summer Reading program.
