Chile as one of the most dynamic and prosperous economies in Latin America, offers a wide range of opportunities for U.S. goods and services. Chile’s economy is forecasted to grow by six percent in 2011. Thanks to the January 2004 implementation of the United States and Chile Free Trade agreement, 90 percent of U.S. exports to Chile enter duty free. Chile ranks 26th among the top U.S. export markets and fifth in Florida’s top merchandise export destinations with over $2.6 billion in exports in year 2009. The Chilean economy constant growth is expected to generate new export opportunities for Florida firms wanting to benefit from this strong open business climate.

Peru’s economic growth has been strong over the past seven years and projections call for an eight percent growth in 2011. This financial stability will continue to generate opportunities for Florida companies wanting to tap into the Peruvian market. The U.S. is Peru's number one trade partner; economic and commercial ties have deepened since the February 1, 2009 implementation of the U.S.-Peru Trade Promotion agreement (PTPa). The PTPa has fostered opportunities in new and existing sectors as U.S. exporters now receive duty-free treatment on products accounting for nearly 90 percent of current trade.
