FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Business for the Arts of Broward (BFA) continues its 2019 Arts Mean Business Speaker Series with street artist, illustrator and painter Cristhian “Golden” Saravia on Friday, June 14 from 7:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. at the Fort Lauderdale Brightline Station, 101 NW 2nd Ave. in Fort Lauderdale.

The event is free and open to the public. Please RSVP by June 11 to [email protected].   

Parking is available at the station garage at $3 per hour. Continental breakfast will be served at 7:30 a.m. followed by the presentation at 8 a.m. 

Born in Caracas, Venezuela, Saravia comes from generations of illustrators and furniture designers. He developed recognizable graphic characters he refers to as “monsters” and earned his moniker “Golden.”

Saravia studied at the Tampa International Academy of Merchandising and Design and is co-owner of Wynwood Printing and Signs. He has hosted the International Meeting of Styles/Wynwood, featuring more than 100 graffiti artists from around the world. His work can be found in cities such as Hong Kong, Bangkok, Rio de Janeiro, Akumal, Caracas, Santiago, New York, Miami, Las Vegas and others.

Saravia’s art has been featured at ArtRepublic, ULTRA Music Festival, ARTSEA Cruise, Electric Daisy Carnival, Electric Forest Festival and many more. Saravia’s corporate clients include Mellow Mushroom, Ducati, Swarm Event Agency, Bass Pro Shops, SLS Hotels, CVS Pharmacy, Edible Arrangements, High Hemp, Adidas, Juxtapox Magazine and Bank of America, just to name a few.

Arts Mean Business with Saravia is hosted by Brightline in partnership with Broward Workshop, Broward County Cultural Division, the Greater Fort Lauderdale Alliance and BBX Capital Foundation.
