Participants will leave from Broward County Government Center East and travel to a local municipal
wastewater treatment facility to gain a perspective of how reclaimed water projects are implemented. From
there we will travel to the C-51 Reservoir in central Palm Beach County. This reservoir project has significant
water supply, water quality, flood protection, and climate preparedness advantages across a wide geographic
area. Current reconfiguration of the adjacent L-8 Reservoir will allow the participants a close-up view of the
geologic formations that make this such a unique project.
