The "Community Renewal Act", recently passed by the Florida Legislature, is intended to substantially streamline Florida's real estate development and concurrency processes in fundamental ways, provide relief for stalled projects and encourage development in targeted areas that have been determined to be best suited for growth. If implemented, the legislation will have important implications for many real estate and development project proposals moving through the review process and may provide significant relief to existing development projects. At the same time, it poses implementation issues for local governments and could affect funding sources for capital improvements.
Hear a thoughtful and detailed analysis of what this new legislation does and doesn’t do from two of the State’s leading growth management experts, both former Florida Department of Community Affairs policy makers. The program will include time for questions and discussion on the topic.
Space is limited, so make your reservation early.
