Participants will leave from Broward County Government Center West to visit the Everglades Water
Conservation Areas. An air boat tour will allow participants to learn more about the Everglades ecosystem
and Everglades restoration. Participants will visit regional and local water control structures critical to drainage
and flood control operations. A brief presentation will be offered during a brown bag lunch to cover subjects
of:

• Innovative stormwater management at the local level
• Water quality and quantity protection in South Florida
• Everglades restoration as a climate resilience strategy
