On behalf of Melanie Dickinson, Chairman of the Alliance Governor Council, we would like to invite you to join us for our first meeting of FY 2011/2012.  We will provide an insider’s peek into the world of graphic arts as we explore a burgeoning industry in Florida: Animation. The staff at Florida Atlantic University will give us a behind the scenes tour of their labs and discuss the application of animation in areas such as: film and video production, video gaming, web-based interactive and mobile media, medical and scientific visualization as well as traditional hardware and software design.

The Governor Council
The Governor Council's role is to deliver an unbiased assessment and evaluation of Greater Fort Lauderdale/Broward County's economic strengths, weaknessess, opportunities and threats on a sustainable basis and within a regional context to ensure the Alliance - its members, partners, stakeholders and staff - are equipped with the market intelligence required to drive action-oriented behaviors.  Additionally, the Governor Council is focused on educaiton and workforce issues
