New Parent University Webinar Focuses on Mental Health and Resources Available
One-Night Only – Monday, December 14 at 6:30 p.m.
As families prepare for Winter Break and the end of what has been a uniquely challenging year for our community, the Parent Community Involvement Task Force and Broward County Public Schools Student Services Department present a new Parent University webinar, addressing mental health and resources available through the District and community partners.
The fourth in a series of webinars created to provide additional support to families, this installment aims to equip parents with the tools to identify signs and triggers related to mental health needs, as well as ensure families are aware of and know how to access resources available through the District and from support organizations in Broward County, such as 2-1-1 and the Broward Behavioral Health Coalition.
The webinar is structured as two panel discussions with experts, followed by question-and-answer sessions after each. Additionally, staff will answer participants’ questions via the public chat throughout the presentation.
To access the live webinar at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, December 14, visit http://tiny.cc/ParentU-MH or browardschools.com/parentuniversity.
The session will be available in Spanish, Portuguese, Haitian-Creole, Arabic, Chinese and Vietnamese through closed captioning.
