What is clear is that the unprecedented societal impacts from our response to COVID-19 have created a new growing epidemic within the pandemic. But the story does not end there.
These increases marked not only a rise in deaths but a shift in why individuals were overdosing and whom we thought were impacted by these drugs. This calls for a greater understanding of the crisis and will demand leaders look at new strategies to help those at most risk of overdose and death in communities everywhere...With this in mind: What can leaders do to help those most at risk for an overdose? How can communities come together to address this crisis in Florida?
