Permit Submittal Requirements for the City of Sunrise:

(Please note: Information provided below is subject to change, please check city building/permitting department for current requirements.)

BROWARD COUNTY ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION DIVISION
Broward County EPD approval required prior to permit issuance, when applicable.

ELEVATOR
Broward County Elevator Approval required prior to Bldg Dept approval, when applicable.

NOTICE OF COMMENCEMENT
Recorded NOC submitted to the Bldg Dept and posted on jobsite prior to first inspection if job cost exceeds $2,500, or A/C repair or replace $7,500 or more.

PERMIT APPLICATION
MUST first submit Permit Application package to Sunrise Zoning. Signed Checklist is required.

SURVEYS
Current signed and sealed copies when required.

ENERGY CALCULATIONS
2 sets when required.

SPECIAL INSPECTION FORMS
Must be signed and sealed by special inspector and must be signed by Owner.  

STRUCTURAL CALCULATIONS
Must be signed and sealed by engineer.  

ORIGINAL DEVELOPMENT REVIEW COMMITTEE PLANS
Must submit original Approved plans.

OWNER/AGENT LETTER
None required.

NUMBER OF SETS
Two.

TRADE APPLICATIONS
Permit applications must be completed in their entirety. Must be signed by Owner/Agent  & Contractor.  Proof of Copy of Lic & Insurance is required.

NOTICE OF ACCEPTANCE
Must be signed by designer of record for compliance with design for all pre-manufactured products such as, but not limited to Windows, Doors, Louvers, Shutters, etc.

ROOF CALCULATIONS (HVC)
Must provide complete HVHZ uniform roofing permit application form and attachments as required by form (2 sets minimum).

ROOF TRUSS SHOP DRAWINGS
The truss system shop drawing requires the seal of an Engineer, and shall be reviewed and accepted by the Architect or Engineer of record for conformance to design concepts and load interaction with the building.

FIRE SPRINKLER ALARM DRAWINGS
Must have signed and sealed sprinkler drawing and hydraulic calcs.  Cut sheets required for all components used.

COMMENTS
REVISIONS:  Permit Application must be filled our for revisions. Need Narrative and all changes must be clouded and deltas added.
