Florida Small Business Emergency Bridge Loans COVID-19

  • Provides financial assistance at 0% interest for up to $100,000
  • Loans are intended to “bridge the gap” between the time a major catastrophe hits and when a business has secured longer term recovery resources
  • Loans will be interest-free for the loan term (1 year). The Interest rate will be 12% per annum on the unpaid balance thereafter
  • These loans can be processed more quickly than the federal government SBA loan program loans

Paycheck Protection Program
In response to the CARES Act, specifically the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP), working with our banking members, the Alliance has prepared a list of SBA Preferred Bank members, along with the direct links to information on how to apply for the PPP for each bank.  Recommendations are to apply with you present banker and SBA Preferred lender to expedite the process.

SBA Disaster Loans

U.S. Chamber of Commerce summary of SBA loans post CARES Act UPDATED 3/30/20

  • Business of any size may borrow up to $2 million for physical damage
  • Small businesses, small agricultural cooperatives, small businesses engaged in aquaculture, or private non-profit organizations may borrow up to $2 million for Economic Injury
  • Small businesses may apply for a maximum business loan (physical and Economic Injury Disaster Loan - EIDL) of $2 million

Short Time Compensation Program

  • Provides temporary, partial wage replacement benefits to qualified workers who are unemployed through no fault of their own
  • Funded solely by employers who pay federal and state payroll taxes and is provided at no cost to the workers who receive the benefits
  • Employers may apply using Florida’s Reemployment Assistance (RA) claims system, CONNECT
