Permit Submittal Requirements for the Hallandale Beach:

BROWARD COUNTY ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION DIVISION
EPD concurrent submittal/ Approval requirement atkl permit issuance.  Create Master Account online. Schedule inspections online.  Walk-thru M-F 8-9 am.  Submit Asbestos form for Interior or re-roof before permit issuance..

ELEVATOR
Broward County Elevator concurrent review/approval required prior to permit issuance.

NOTICE OF COMMENCEMENT
NOC is not required at submittal, but at first inspection. Need to submit 1 certified original copy of work valued over $2,500 or $7,500 for A/C work.

PERMIT APPLICATION
Applications signed by contractors prior to permit issuance. Executed contract for job value or RS Means.  Zoning Review Applications as applicable.

SURVEYS
Current s/s copies required.  None required if interior alterations.  Final survey required for new construction/addition.  Elevation certificate required for additions or substantial improvement for submittal. Final Elevation certificate required for additions or substantial improvement

ENERGY CALCULATIONS
Commercial required s/s.  Residential optional unless a design professional takes responsibility.  Two sets of Energy calcs.

SPECIAL INSPECTION FORMS
Must be s/s by engineer and must be signed by Owner. None required if interiors only.

STRUCTURAL CALCULATIONS
Must be s/s by engineer. None required if interiors only.

ORIGINAL DEVELOPMENT REVIEW COMMITTEE PLANS
DRC approved plans required for building permit submittal or review.

OWNER/AGENT LETTER
Letter must have Owner and Agent notarized signatures.

NUMBER OF SETS
Three sets required.

TRADE APPLICATIONS
Property owner notarized signature.

NOTICE OF ACCEPTANCE
Must be stamped by architect. Windows, Doors, Louvers, Shutters, etc.

ROOF CALCULATIONS (HVC)
Must be complete package with roof NOA's and roof plan. None required if Interiors only. No Update.

ROOF TRUSS SHOP DRAWINGS
Must be s/s by engineer and include all calcs. None required if Interiors only. Shop drawings must be reviewed/approved by designer of record.

FIRE SPRINKLER ALARM DRAWINGS
Must have hydraulic calcs and cut sheets of all devices and panels. May be submitted as a shop drawing after permit issuance.

COMMENTS
REVISIONS: Narrative not required bu helpful.  Changes must be cloudsd and deltas.
