Groundbreaking Held for The Place at Dania Beach

On September 3, 2014 Dania Beach CRA (DBCRA) and AHS Development Group launched the start of the revitalization of downtown Dania Beach, through major developments, with a groundbreaking ceremony for "The Place at Dania Beach".  The $20 million mixed use residential and commercial development will hold 144 residential units and 9,500 square feet of retail and commercial space.  According to the developer,  Ernesto Lopez, "The building's special features and amenities will provide for an exciting living experience; gym, recreation room, roof top pool, sundeck, barbeque area and bar to the street level shop."  Tim Ryan, Vice-Mayor of Broward County , Dania Beach City Commissioners, Mayor Walter B Duke III, Vice- Mayor Chickie Brandimarte, Commissioner Bobbie Grace, Commissioner Albert Jones, and Mr. Ernesto Lopez President & CEO of AHS Development Group, all spoke about the project's importance and economic benefit to the City.  Several City officials and members of the Dania Beach Community were present to witness what DBCRA Executive Director Jeremy Earle described as an historic day for the City.
