Techtronic Industries (TTI) announced it will move its U.S. headquarters to Fort Lauderdale and create 75 new jobs.

The company, whose global headquarters is based in Hong Kong, employs more than 20,000 people worldwide.

"We are excited to be moving into such a dynamic and growing area for our U.S. corporate headquarters," Techtronic CEO Joseph Galli said in a statement. "The new location will allow us to recruit and retain top talent and we look forward to continuing to expand our presence in the area."

TTI executives, including Galli, will work from the office at 450 East Las Olas Blvd. The company's finance, legal and human resources team will also be based at the Fort Lauderdale location.

The office is expected to open by the third quarter of 2019.

The company received guidance and assistance from the Greater Fort Lauderdale Alliance during its search for a new HQ location.
