70 Leaders from Greater Fort Lauderdale/ Broward County on Florida Trendís Most Influential Business Leaders List

BROWARD COUNTY, FLA - The Greater Fort Lauderdale Alliance, Broward County’s official economic development resource, is pleased to announce that more than 70 leaders from the Greater Fort Lauderdale/Broward County area made Florida Trend’s annual issue, “Florida 500”, a list comprised of the most influential business leaders in the state of Florida.

Led by Greater Fort Lauderdale Alliance president & CEO, Bob Swindell, more than 50 of these leaders are Alliance members or partners, investing in economic development to bring new companies to the area and foster the growth of local companies. In fact, just within the past six years, the Alliance has assisted companies to create or retain 16,554 jobs, occupy more than 4.9 million square feet of office space and bring more than $896 million in domestic and foreign capital investment to Broward County.

“The individuals and companies identified here have a drive to ensure that Florida - with a population now at more than 21 million and growing by more than 900 new residents every day - moves forward in a positive direction. They are assets to Florida, providing ideas and solutions to the issues that accompany rapid growth” said Florida Trend publisher David G. Denor.
