FAU: The Second Season of the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute In Fort Lauderdale is Underway at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts

FAU's newest Osher Lifelong Learning Institute in Fort Lauderdale (OLLI FLL) offers an educational, provocative and entertaining line up of programming for adults interested in learning for the love of learning, that should not be missed.

OLLI FLL offers a no stress, no tests and no homework curriculum that is presented by renown scholars and takes place at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts’ Adobo New River Room and the JM Family Studio Theatre weekday afternoons.

Next up is a 4-week series, Ballad of America: Songs of People Who Made a Country with Matthew Sabatella, that takes place Tuesday’s on November 26, December 3, 10, 17 at the JM Family Studio Theatre from 12 noon to 1:30 pm. Tickets for the series are $50 for a member, $65 for non-member.

The following one-time lectures feature: Rasputin: The Man Who Would Not Die (Monday, December 2, 2019) with Dr. Ralph Nurnberger, Liberace Live! The Greatest Hits of America’s Most Beloved Entertainer (Tuesday, December 3, 2019) with Sofiya Uryvayeva Martin, Jewish Humor: A Telling Experience Part 1! You Don’t Have to be Jewish To Love this Humor! (Monday, December 9, 2019) with Dr. Stephen Z. Cohen, US-Iran Mounting Tensions: The Threat and Implications of Regional War (Wednesday, December 11, 2019) with Dr. Robert G. Rabil, and The Reconstruction of America: The Unfinished Revolution (Thursday, December 12, 2019) with Dr. Stephen D. Engle in the Abdo New River Room from 3 to 4:30 pm.

Tickets are $30 for members; $35 for non-members and $75 for three events for members.
