Florida Atlantic University and community leaders have formed the FAU Osher Lifelong Learning Institute, Ft. Lauderdale, to provide enriching educational experiences to adults of all ages through a diverse and creative curriculum. Taught by outstanding university faculty and guest lecturers, FAU’s OLLI Ft. Lauderdale programs are designed to broaden its students’ understanding of varied cultural, societal, scientific, and global issues. Its goal is to build a thriving program with a permanent location in the heart of Fort Lauderdale, offering OLLI members and the community access to many university-level courses for learners of all backgrounds and interests, spanning a broad range of topics which include foreign policy, music, art, history, science, literature, philosophy, current events, films, and health and wellness. In keeping with these unusual times, however, all of the Fall sessions will be offered via Zoom, providing easy access to everyone.
