34th Annual Celebration of Authors and Books in Fort Lauderdale

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Twelve notable authors, including travel writer Patricia Schultz, South Florida thriller author James Grippando and Prince music producer Susan Rogers, will be featured at the Broward Public Library Foundation’s 34th annual Literary Feast on March 31 and April 1. The event is presented by The Helen Ingham Foundation.

LitLIVE! – Friday, March 31, 2023 | 5:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. | Free and open to the public, the twelve Literary Feast authors will participate in three panel discussions divided into Fiction, Mystery, and Nonfiction at Barnes & Noble, 2051 N. Federal Highway, Fort Lauderdale, followed by book sales and signings. LitLIVE! is underwritten by Nova Southeastern University. Moderators include Gail Bulfin, Oline Cogdill and Mim Harrison.

A Night of Literary Feasts – Saturday, April 1, 2023 | Welcome Reception at 5:30 p.m. | The event begins with a Welcome Reception, underwritten by JM Family Enterprises, with all twelve authors including an open bar and hors d’oeuvres, silent auction, book sales and book signings at Bahia Mar Fort Lauderdale Beach. Guests depart at 7:30 p.m. for dinners with the authors at private homes and restaurants around the Greater Fort Lauderdale area. Literary Feast dinner tickets are $175 | Welcome Reception-only tickets are $75.

Bonus LitLIVE! – Sunday, April 2, 2023 | 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. | Free and open to the public, Literary Feast author Patricia Schultz will present her new book Why We Travel: 100 Reasons to See the World at the Fort Lauderdale Barnes & Noble store.

Literary Feast was established in 1988 to raise funds to support public library programs. This vital community event has raised more than $4.5 million since its inception.
