Latin Grammy Winner Diogo Nogueira Kicks Off USA Samba Tour at The Parker

Brazilian superstar Diogo Nogueira kicks off his eight-city USA Samba Tour in Fort Lauderdale with a concert in Lillian S. Wells Hall at The Parker on Thursday, September 14 at 8 p.m.

One of the biggest names in Brazilian music today, Nogueira is son of late composer and samba legend João Nogueira. The singer/songwriter, multifaceted artist and instrumentalist has been nominated for a Latin Grammy for all of his albums and has won in the category of “Best Samba Album” and “Best Brazilian Song.” He sings samba, the pulsating, popular and happy music that is synonymous with Brazilian culture. 

Also a TV and radio personality, Nogueira has had a successful career spanning more than 15 years.  Nogueira has sold more than two million albums, including six Gold CDs, three Gold DVDs, two Platinum DVDs and one Double Platinum. He released an album in late 2022 that was recorded live in his hometown of Rio de Janeiro, on the iconic Pão de Açúcar, called “Ao Vivo no Noites Cariocas” with popular hits and samba classics. The album was widely praised by the public, artists and critics, confirming his place as a great star of Brazilian music. Nogueira’s debut album, the CD/DVD Ao Vivo (2007), was recorded live at Teatro João Caetano in Rio de Janeiro and included many of his own compositions as well as some of his father's earning him a Latin Grammy nomination for Best New Artist in 2008. His follow up recordings of Bossa Negra (2015) Alma Brasileira (2017) and Samba de Verao (2021) were all Grammy nominated for Best Samba/Pagode Album.
