HCA East Florida Division announces $1.8B in capital investments across South Florida

FORT LAUDERDALE, FL March 20, 2024 – A steadfast commitment to fostering healthier communities is at the heart of HCA Healthcare's investment strategy. $1.8 billion in capital investments across South Florida will drive transformative changes to improve clinical outcomes and enhance patient care.

HCA Healthcare's commitment to investing in our communities over the last five years and to long-term development will progress our growth strategies to meet the growing needs of our expanding population. These capital funds will be distributed across 14 Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach County, and Treasure Coast hospitals. Upgraded equipment, investments in state-of-the-art technology, and building improvements contribute to innovative diagnostics, advanced patient treatments, and an enhanced experience.

"HCA Healthcare recognizes South Florida's continued growth and is committed to investing in our facilities to meet those needs," said Charles Gressle, president of HCA East Florida Division. "As the nation's leading healthcare provider, we are investing in our facilities to ensure everyone has access to the care they need close to home."

The population growth in Florida, a staggering 2% increase between 2021 and 2022, further underscores the need for such investments to meet the healthcare demands of the region. We are poised to usher in a new era of healthcare excellence through targeted initiatives focused on preventative care, streamlined processes, and state-of-the-art equipment.
