DAVIE, Fla. (February 20, 2026) – Rick Case Automotive Group kicked off 2026 with celebrations recognizing the achievements in 2025 of both the Honda and Volkswagen dealerships.

Rick Case Honda was the largest volume dealer in the world for the second year in a row and the most awarded volume dealer in American Honda’s 56-year history, receiving the prestigious 2025 President’s Award Elite, Honda’s highest award for operational excellence, for an unprecedented 18th consecutive year.

 American Honda Motor Company top executives recently visited the dealership to celebrate with CEO and President Rita Case and more than 400 associates to present the award. The President’s Award Elite is based on the overall dealership performance including volume, operational excellence, customer satisfaction and facility. The honor is awarded to approximately 15% of Honda dealerships annually.

 

“The President's Award Elite is the highest award Honda gives to a dealer,” said Case, who began selling Hondas while in high school when her parents became the first Honda auto dealer in America. “Our entire team at Rick Case Honda participated in earning this award. It's more than just about sales; it’s about operational excellence across all departments that allows us to reach the stringent benchmarks required to receive the President's Award Elite. Our teams continue to break records because of their commitment to customer service, to each other and to being number one.”

In 2002 when Rick Case Honda opened, not one South Florida Honda dealer was a top volume dealer in the United States. But when Rick and Rita got the franchise here, they knew the quality of Honda because they had dealerships in Cleveland, and knew they

had to put Honda on the shopping list in South Florida. Today, three of the top five volume Honda dealers in the United States are here, and Honda recognizes South Florida as its number one volume market for new and certified pre-owned vehicles.

Rick Case Honda remains the world record holder for the most new Hondas sold in one month with 1,222 sold and is the only Honda dealer that has ever averaged 7,300 Honda cars every year since they've opened their doors. “Winning the President's Award is not about selling the most cars. Although Rita’s team did that and did so in amazing fashion, it's about selling them in a way that consumers really appreciate and bond with the dealership and generate that relationship that makes them keep coming back because they want that experience over and over again,” said Lance Woelfer, Honda Vice President of Auto Sales. “That’s why they’ve won the President’s Award Elite for so long and why they are number one in the country in volume, which is an amazing feat. Rick Case Volkswagen was also celebrated as the #1 Volkswagen dealer in the world. CEO and President of VW Group of America, Kjell Gruner, was among the Volkswagen leadership team that visited the dealership to present the 2025 Wolfsburg Crest Club Award.

The Wolfsburg Crest Club Award recognizes dealerships that maintain the highest levels of excellence in service, operations, sales and customer satisfaction all while consistently going above and beyond. In the 12 years since opening, Rick Case Volkswagen has been awarded the Wolfsburg Crest every year and has been #1 in volume sales for nine years.
