United Way Broward Launches Born Learning STEAM Trail in Miramar

On Tuesday, March 17, 2026, United Way Broward, in partnership with the City of Miramar, celebrated the official ribbon cutting of a new Born Learning STEAM Trail at Monarch Lakes Park, an interactive, educational pathway designed to promote early childhood learning through play.

The celebration marked the culmination of a hands-on community effort, led in part by United Way Broward’s Coalition on Behavioral Health & Drug Prevention’s Alternative Spring Break, where local students dedicated the first day of their spring break to preparing the trail. Their work helped bring the space to life, transforming the park trail into a vibrant learning environment for children and families. City officials from Miramar joined United Way Broward President & CEO Kathleen Cannon for the ribbon-cutting ceremony, highlighting the importance of investing in early learning opportunities that are accessible, engaging, and community-driven.
