Dawn Watts (DW Consultants, Inc.) Appointed WDFL-TV's Chief Strategy Officer

South Florida – WDFL-TV has announced the appointment of Dawn Nicole Watts as Chief Strategy Officer, reinforcing the station’s commitment to strategic growth, enterprise alignment, and long-term market leadership across South Florida.

Watts brings more than two decades of executive leadership experience across media measurement, corporate operations, and enterprise transformation. In her new role, she will lead enterprise strategy, programming development, and cross-platform growth initiatives designed to expand WDFL-TV’s audience reach, strengthen advertiser partnerships, and support sustainable revenue growth.

Prior to joining WDFL-TV, Watts held senior leadership roles at Nielsen, the global authority in television and audience measurement, where she helped oversee international operations, broadcast analytics, and strategic initiatives supporting media markets across the United States and abroad. She began her media career with Scarborough Research, contributing to Media Rating Council-accredited audience measurement studies across more than 100 U.S. markets.

As Chief Strategy Officer, Watts will oversee enterprise-wide strategic planning, programming optimization, sponsorship integration, digital expansion, and cross-platform growth initiatives designed to strengthen WDFL’s competitive positioning as South Florida prepares for increased regional and global visibility.

In addition to her corporate leadership, Watts serves on the Broward County Office of Economic and Small Business Development Advisory Board and is Chair of the Executive Board of the American Cancer Society in Broward County. She is Chief Executive Officer of DW Consultants and Founder of The Watts Foundation, advancing public-private collaboration and community engagement throughout Broward County.

Watts is actively engaged with Junior Achievement of South Florida and is a member of the Circle of Wise Women in Education, reflecting her ongoing commitment to youth entrepreneurship, workforce development, and leadership advancement across South Florida.
