YMCA of South Florida to Host Healthy Kids Day on April 18

Free annual event welcomes children and teens of all ages to enjoy fun and fitness at seven participating YMCA locations

Fort Lauderdale, FL (April 1, 2026) The YMCA of South Florida once again hosts the FREE annual Healthy Kids Day on Saturday, April 18 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at seven YMCA locations in Broward and Miami-Dade counties.

The free Healthy Kids Day, sponsored by Nicklaus Children’s Health System and Publix Super Markets Charities, is open to everyone, regardless of YMCA membership. The fun-filled day showcases YMCA programs, including family-friendly health and wellness activities, swim lessons and a sneak peek at summer Camp Y and the youth sports program. Other fun activities include program demonstrations, bounce houses, carnival games, food trucks, and more.

“At the Y, we believe it’s so important for our kids to learn how to stay healthy in body, mind and spirit by staying active in youth sports, aquatics and summer camp,” said YMCA of South Florida President and CEO Sheryl A. Woods. “Our Healthy Kids Day is an annual tradition across all YMCAs around the country and a tremendous opportunity to have fun and learn more about what the Y has to offer.”
