Broward Partnership Announces Appointment of Amy Miller as Chief Development Officer
Veteran South Florida nonprofit development leader brings more than 25 years of fundraising and community engagement experience to advance Broward Partnership’s mission.
Fort Lauderdale, FL – Broward Partnership, a leading nonprofit organization dedicated to reducing homelessness in Broward County, announced the appointment of Amy Miller as Chief Development Officer. In this role, Miller will lead the organization’s fundraising and resource development strategy, helping to expand philanthropic support and strengthen community partnerships that advance Broward Partnership’s mission of assisting individuals and families experiencing homelessness.
Miller brings more than 25 years of experience in nonprofit development, marketing, and community engagement in Broward County. Throughout her career, she has built strong relationships with donors, corporate sponsors, and community leaders to support philanthropic initiatives that strengthen organizations and improve lives.
“Amy’s depth of experience in development and communications, combined with her long-standing ties to the Broward County nonprofit community, makes her an exceptional addition to our leadership team,” said Tom Ruthardt, Chief Executive Officer of Broward Partnership. “Her proven ability to build strong relationships with donors and community partners will play a critical role as we continue to expand our programs and services for individuals and families experiencing homelessness.”
Prior to joining Broward Partnership, Miller spent more than 16 years with the Broward Health Foundation, where she served as Director of Annual Gifts. During her tenure, she led annual giving initiatives, grateful patient philanthropy, corporate partnerships, and major fundraising events that significantly expanded donor engagement and philanthropic support for the organization.
As Chief Development Officer, Miller will lead Broward Partnership’s fundraising and development strategy, overseeing annual campaigns, major gifts, corporate partnerships, grant development, donor engagement, volunteer initiatives, and fundraising events. She will work closely with organizational leadership and the board of directors to expand philanthropic support and cultivate strategic partnerships that strengthen the organization’s impact across Broward County.

Miller holds a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications from the University of South Florida and has spent her career working in nonprofit development and community engagement in Broward County.
