WASHINGTON, D.C. (April 22, 2026) – Fort Lauderdale United FC (5-11-8, 23 PTS) dropped its matchup with DC Power FC (8-9-8, 32 PTS), 4-0, on Wednesday evening in a mid-week matchup in the Nation’s capital. Goalkeeper Haley Craig set a club single-game record with 10 saves, while Laveni Vaka was shown her first red card of the season in the match. QUOTES:

  • Interim Head Coach Paul Jennison on tonight's match & moving forward...
    • "Four-nil is four-nil, and the scoreboard doesn't lie. But the truth of that is unbelievable resilience — we played with 10 players for 80 minutes. You just have to look at the fact that the team was still trying to press and find moments to go and win and create opportunities in the last of injury time. So the heart of the group, it's clearly there and the buy in from each other is there. I obviously have to go back to the drawing board with the staff, and we have to look at how tactically we can help them against Spokane. But at the same time, there is absolutely no fault or critique on the players tonight when it comes to their heart and their desire to compete for each other. I think we just have to go back and we'll reflect on the video and see areas that we can help. But like I said, they're very disappointed, but they never once stopped. And for that, that's a pretty special feeling. But as I said, unfortunately four-nil is four-nil, and we'll have to reflect on that."
  • Goalkeeper Haley Craig on breaking a club record & looking to Sunday...
    • "Yeah, I think just learning from tonight's game. Feeling it tonight as we get back to hotel and when we hop on the flight to Spokane tomorrow and just moving forward, learning from it and taking what we can. Obviously going to have to prepare because our lineup is gonna have to shift with Laveni being out with the red card and Julia obviously going down with injury. I just think we can learn from it and move on because we're still pushing for the playoffs. As for the record, I think I was just doing my job, but its not a great record to have. I'm hoping that next game we can cut the amount of shots on target in half or or better."
