Free family-friendly event celebrates the future Holiday Park YMCA and Broward Health Emergency Department

Fort Lauderdale, FL (April 24, 2026) – The YMCA of South Florida invites children and families to attend the FREE Little Builders Fun Fest at Holiday Park YMCA on Saturday, May 2 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the site of the future Holiday Park YMCA Family Center and Broward Health Emergency Department, located adjacent to The Parker at 707 NE 8th Street in Fort Lauderdale.

Hosted by the YMCA of South Florida and presented by GULF-ANF Joint Venture, the event offers families a unique opportunity to step onto the construction site and celebrate the future community hub that will serve generations to come.

Free activities include blueprint design, fossil dig, touch-a-truck, steel beam signing, STEAM Mega Blocks builders, a construction obstacle course and a Little Builder Photo Experience. Every child will enjoy free snacks and snow cones and receive a hard hat, construction vest, Little Builder certificate, photo takeaway and special giveaways. Child-friendly food truck options will also be available for purchase onsite.

Woods. “This event gives children a chance to explore, create and imagine while helping families connect with the incredible impact this new YMCA Family Center and Broward Health Emergency Department will have on our community.”

Parents and children are asked to pre-register online by April 30 at ymcasouthflorida.org/funfest. Parking will be available at The Parker.
