QUOTES:
- Interim Head Coach Paul Jennison on tonight's match and moving forward...
- "For 65 minutes, it was honestly amazing from us from combination play in possession. We were expansive and it was free flowing and everything we hoped that the team was going to be putting together this year. It is starting to come together again. Carolina is a quality team, and we knew they had some certain strengths, unfortunately, two set pieces. It's tough to take because we've done so much in open play, but that's the reality of the game. The team never dropped off the third goal in transition, we were chasing so it is what it is. But honestly, in terms of the heart, the determination, the resilience, again, it's tough. I've never seen a three nil loss that's been so even or led to the advantage of the team losing. But Carolina's quality, great players, well coached, just can't give them chances like that. We'll bounce back. We'll hit the training ground again, and we're looking forward to finishing against Dallas, another quality opponent, but honestly, really impressed with the team today, even though the scoreline doesn't reflect it. Good things are happening.."
- Forward Kiara Locklear on closing out her second season at Fort Lauderdale...
- "Obviously, the season isn't what we wanted to be, but excited to come back next year and rebuild with the players that we have and then with the players that we will have for next season. And obviously, the fans are great and I'm excited about the fan base that we've been able to build and create and sustain here."
