BCPS Earns “A” Grade from the State for Third Consecutive Year
On July 1, 2026, the Florida Department of Education released district grades for the 2025/26 school year. Broward County Public Schools (BCPS) is proud to have earned an “A” grade for a third consecutive year. This accomplishment reflects our District’s continued commitment to academic excellence and student success.
The state also released grades for individual schools. The results show that 129 District-operated schools earned “A” grades, 56 earned “B” grades and 27 earned “C” grades. This marks the third year in a row that there are no “D” or “F” schools in the District.
Additional BCPS highlights:
- More than 60% of all schools earned “A” grades.
- Nearly 70% of schools improved their letter grade or maintained their “A” grade.
- 28 schools improved from a “B” in the 2024/25 school year to an “A” grade in 2025/26.
- Seven schools improved by two letter grades – increasing from a “C” in the 2024/25 school year to an “A” grade in 2025/26. These include:
- McNicol Middle School
- Watkins Elementary School
- Lloyd Estates Elementary School
- Pembroke Pines Elementary School
- Royal Palm Elementary School
- Morrow Elementary School
- Pines Lakes Elementary School
- 17 schools improved from a “C” in 2024/25 to a “B” grade in 2025/26.
“This is an incredible accomplishment that reflects our continued commitment to academic excellence and student success,” said BCPS Superintendent Dr. Howard Hepburn. “This milestone is the result of years of intentional work, collaboration and an unwavering focus on helping every student succeed. I commend our teachers, school leaders, support professionals and all our employees who work hard each day to support our students. I also want to thank our School Board, families and community for their commitment to ensuring our students receive a world-class education.”
