Brightline brings back multi-ride pass between West Palm Beach, Fort Lauderdale
Rail operator again expands fare options for South Florida commuters.
Brightline has reintroduced multi-ride passes for trips between its West Palm Beach and Fort Lauderdale stations, marking the latest adjustment to the rail operator's commuter fare offerings.
The passes became available July 8 and include a 10-ride option for $239, a 20-ride pass for $319 and a 40-ride pass for $359. Based on the largest package, fares start at about $9 per one-way trip.
Brightline's offering is limited to travel between the West Palm Beach and Fort Lauderdale stations and is aimed at commuters, business travelers and frequent riders.
"As South Florida continues to evolve into a connected economic powerhouse, Brightline is making it easier than ever for professionals to move seamlessly between major employment centers," Patrick Goddard, CEO of Brightline Trains Florida, said in a statement. "The return of the multi-ride pass connecting West Palm Beach and Fort Lauderdale reflects the growing demand for flexible transportation options that support both business and lifestyle needs."
The move marks another shift in Brightline's approach to commuter pricing. Since launching service to Orlando in 2023, the company has adjusted and, at times, eliminated some South Florida commuter pass options between Miami and West Palm Beach as it focused on longer-distance travel to Orlando.
Brightline has said its Orlando expansion is a key driver of its business strategy, with the higher-revenue intercity route helping improve its financial performance.
Since adding the Orlando station, Brightline has continued to refine its fare products while balancing demand from long-distance travelers and South Florida commuters.
Brightline said it reintroduced the South Florida pass as the region continues to see business growth, especially around West Palm Beach.Palm Beach County, which has an estimated population of about 1.58 million, has recorded more than 140 company relocations and expansions in recent years, generating more than 13,000 jobs and more than $1 billion in capital investment, according to the company.
Separately, Brightline's passenger and ancillary revenue increased to $198.7 million in 2025 from $172.9 million a year earlier, while its net loss narrowed to $523.5 million from $718.1 million, according to the company's most recent annual financial report.
