The City of Fort Lauderdale's Public Art & Placemaking Program just relaunched the Business Mural Grant Program, and your business could be one of five selected to receive a $5,000 grant for a permanent mural designed and installed by a professional artist.

The application window is open now through July 31, 2026.

Here's how it works:

·         The City awards five grants of $5,000 each to eligible Fort Lauderdale businesses.

·         Grant funds cover artist fees, materials, equipment, surface preparation, protective coatings, and permitting costs.

·         The mural must be visible from the public right-of-way and completed within six months of award notification.

Selection priority includes one business from each of the City's four Commission Districts, plus one additional business selected for exceptional artistic merit.

Fort Lauderdale already has dozens of murals woven into its neighborhoods. This program is how we add more, with intention, with community, and with local talent.
