FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (September 3, 2026) — Fort Lauderdale United FC defender Kelsey Oyler has been named to the Gainbridge Super League: August Team of the Month, the league announced Wednesday. Oyler, who joined Fort Lauderdale United during the offseason following a season with Spokane Zephyr FC, made an immediate impact along the club’s back line during the opening month of the 2026-27 campaign.

The Arkansas product started both of Fort Lauderdale United’s matches in August and played all 180 available minutes. Oyler led the Gainbridge Super League with seven tackles won, while ranking tied for 12th in duels won (14) and tied for 14th in interceptions (4). Oyler was also one of just two players across the league to record at least four clearances, four interceptions, seven tackles won and 14 duels won during the month, joining Justina Gaynor in demonstrating that level of all-around defensive production.

Her impact has extended beyond the defensive end. Oyler’s ability to get forward has added another dimension to the Fort Lauderdale attack, with her seven crosses ranking tied for 11th in the league through the first month of the season. A dynamic presence on both sides of the ball, Oyler has quickly established herself as an important piece of Fort Lauderdale United’s lineup as the club turns its attention to September and looks to build momentum in the early stages of the Gainbridge Super League campaign.
