Arc Broward’s 4th Annual InspHired Luncheon Brings Together Community, Business Leaders to Celebrate Advances in Workforce Inclusion

FORT LAUDERDALE, Florida (September 15, 2026) – Business leaders, community advocates and individuals from throughout Broward County who share a passion for empowering people with disabilities are invited to attend the Arc Broward InspHired Awards, presented by UKG on Friday, October 23 from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Chateau Mar Golf Resort, 3501 Inverrary Boulevard, Lauderhill.

Held during National Disability Employment month, the fourth annual event celebrates the achievements of individuals with disabilities in the workplace and recognizes community and employer partners who champion a diverse workforce. Proceeds from the event help fund high-quality education and intensive workforce programming, ensuring that individuals with disabilities can thrive on career paths that promote self-sufficiency.

“Our annual InspHired Awards Luncheon is an opportunity to honor the local employers who are paving the way for adults with disabilities to contribute meaningfully to the workforce here in Broward County,” said Julie Price, Arc Broward president and CEO. “At the same time, we are celebrating the talents and efforts of our graduates and workforce participants who are a testament to the power of inclusive hiring.”

This year’s honorees include: Mary N. Porter Student Chef of the Year, Antonio “Tony” Valdez; Moss Foundation Student Leader of the Year, Alesandro Albornoz; Arc Works Participant of the Year, Maya Garcia; Workforce Services Volunteer of the Year, Joey Kosinski; UKG Employer Partner of the Year, Pompano Beach Service Plaza; BAC Leadership Award, Karin Trost; Investing in Futures Award, Cindy Arenberg Seltzer, Children’s Services Council; Arc Educates Training Site of the Year, Abandoned Pet Rescue (Kara Starzyk); and Transition Services Training Site of the Year, City of Coral Springs.

For the first time, the InspHired luncheon will be held at the Chateau Mar Golf Resort, which serves as the host partner for the Arc Educates Hospitality Operations Training Program, preparing individuals with disabilities for careers in one of South Florida’s most important industries. By opening its doors to participants in the training program, Chateau Mar provides real-world opportunities for trainees to gain hands-on experience in housekeeping, front desk and guest services, food and beverage, and other essential hotel operations. Beyond providing technical skills, training in a real hotel setting helps participants develop soft skills, including communication, teamwork, professionalism, reliability and confidence.

“Arc Broward’s partnership with Chateau Mar demonstrates how employers can work with Arc Broward to help develop a skilled workforce while creating paths to future employment. We are grateful for their support as host sponsor of the InspHired Awards and our hospitality training program,” said Price.
