Broward Partnership’s “Chefs Helping the Homeless” Event Raised $165,000 to Combat Homelessness

Signature culinary event brought together South Florida chefs, restaurants and philanthropists in support of Broward Partnership’s mission.

Fort Lauderdale, FL (September 29, 2026) – Broward Partnership, a nonprofit organization committed to reducing homelessness through advocacy, housing and comprehensive services, raised $165,000 at its highly anticipated Chefs Helping the Homeless event on Saturday, Sept. 19. The signature fundraiser brought together the region’s premier chefs, restaurants, sponsors and philanthropists for an unforgettable evening of culinary excellence in support of individuals and families experiencing homelessness in Broward County.

Since its inception in 2007, Chefs Helping the Homeless has raised more than $1 million in support of Broward Partnership’s mission and programs.

“Doing good has never tasted better, thanks to our chefs, restaurants, sponsors and guests who come together in support of Broward Partnership’s mission. That commitment is at the heart of what makes Chefs Helping the Homeless so special.” — Tom Ruthardt, CEO, Broward Partnership

The evening began with a lively cocktail reception at ArtServe in Fort Lauderdale, where guests enjoyed an elegant social gathering before drawing numbers to discover their secret dining destination. Whisked away in luxury limousines, attendees were each escorted to one of South Florida’s top restaurants to savor a multi-course, chef-curated menu paired with fine wines and a personal visit from each restaurant’s executive chef.

This year’s extraordinary restaurant lineup featured Anthony's Runway 84, Billy's Stone Crab, Bourbon Steak in Delray, Burlock Coast at the Ritz-Carlton, Café Maxx, Casa D'Angelo in Fort Lauderdale, Eddie V's, Farmer's Table in Boca Raton, Kuro at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, Mastro's Ocean Club, Sotogrande, Steak 954 at The W, Sunness Supper Club, Takato at The Conrad, Vitolo at The Conrad, and Wild Sea Las Olas.

Broward Partnership extends its heartfelt appreciation to the sponsors whose generous support helped make the event possible, including Premier Sponsor BMW of Pembroke Pines and Distinguished Sponsors Ryan Mining Inc. and the Leo Goodwin Foundation.

The event’s host committee included Elliot Borkson, Jerry Gutierrez, Emily Stark, Joanne Snead, Diane D’Angelo, Whitney Dutton, Kip Hunter and Nicole Lewis of Kip Hunter Marketing.

Proceeds from Chefs Helping the Homeless directly benefit Broward Partnership’s comprehensive programs and services, helping individuals and families experiencing homelessness regain stability, secure employment and move toward permanent housing and greater independence.
