SFBJ: Mixed-use development site in Broward sold for $11.5M, plans 300 units
Compson Associates acquired a mixed-use development site in the new downtown Coral Springs district for $11.5 million and plans to move forward with construction.
Amera Downtown Development Co., led by local developer George Rahael, sold the four-acre site at 9551 W. Sample Road to Coral Springs 300 LLC, part of Boca Raton-based Compson Associates. Boca Raton-based Paradise Bank provided an $8 million mortgage for the deal. Property data firm Vizzda confirmed the parties involved.
The property last traded for $4 million in 2022, when Amera purchased it from the city of Coral Springs, which previously had its City Hall there.
Meanwhile, Coral Springs officials have approved a measure to expand the mixed-use zoning for its downtown district. Klepper said Compson Associates is working with Amera on a neighboring site for the second phase of the mixed-use project, which he said would have more entertainment uses.
